Worm Farm Composting for Small Spaces

Join local worm farmer, Simon Rixon from Maroochy Urban Farm for a 'hands on' practical workshop introducing you to the joys of small space worm farm composting.

Worm farms are a low-cost and efficient way to cycle nutrients from your waste to your small-space gardens. Learn all about the alchemy of worm farming and how to create your very own 'black gold' fertiliser from food scraps.

Discover the wonderful world of worms, learn tips and tricks to keep your worm farm functional and healthy and make your own tiny worm farm to take home.

Our Living Lab @ The MET workshops are especially designed for people living in units, townhouses and apartments with balconies or courtyards available for small space, urban gardening.

Come get your hands dirty in the Maroochydore City Centre, connect with your community and learn new skills.

A delicious morning tea made from local produce is included in the ticket price.

Limited tickets available.
Recommended ages 15+.

Registration from 9am with workshop starting at 9.30am.

Living Lab @ The MET is an initiative delivered in partnership with SunCentral Maroochydore, The MET and the Living Smart Program of Sunshine Coast Council

Directory

We acknowledge the Traditional owners, the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi people, of the land on which we live and work. We pay our deep respect to their elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today, throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
