Lunch Time Chats with Oz Harvest

Save Food. Save Money. Save the Planet.

Grab your lunch and pop along to the MET (directly across from SC City Hall) to meet and hear from Michele Lipner, a local food rescue legend who spearheaded the launch of the Sunshine Coast chapter of Oz Harvest.

Since 2004, Oz Harvest has provided 225 MILLION meals to Australians in need. The Sunshine Coast chapter launched in 2014, has contributed 2.1 million of those meals and collects food waste from over 40 locations.

Michele has a passion for chatting with folks on how they can reduce food waste and save a stack of money along the way.

Hear more about the Oz Harvest story, learn some practical food waste reduction tips, chat with like-minded people and preview the new book “Sunny Coast Eats” at this special Lunchtime Chats session.

Directory

We acknowledge the Traditional owners, the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi people, of the land on which we live and work. We pay our deep respect to their elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today, throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
