The Place Activation Grants program is a new initiative designed to support the current activation of the Maroochydore City Centre through community-led place- making activities and art installations that strengthen community connection to public spaces and encourage visitation to the site.

Recipient projects of the $10,000 grants align with the capacity building and grass roots focus of the program through the five place activation pillars of Future City, Culture Catalyst, Local Global, Living Lab and Urban Wellness. At least one project is allocated to a First Nations led activity.

The Place Activation Grant Program is delivered in partnership with Walker Corporation, SunCentral and Sunshine Coast Council.

United Journey by Jandamarra Cadd

We acknowledge the Traditional owners, the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi people, of the land on which we live and work. We pay our deep respect to their elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today, throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
